Interim Payments
Often a serious injury may mean that a client cannot return to work afterwards or at all. This will very shortly bring about financial stresses and worry. If the insurance company for the person at fault accepts liability, they may be willing to make an interim payment to the injured party. An interim payment is an advance of damages. For very serious injuries, your solicitor will be mindful of the potential value of the claim and will be able to make a request for an interim payment to help a client gain access to funds before the end of the claim. This can help with financial pressures and allow clients to focus on their recovery.
