On this day, we think about the women, in this country and throughout the world, who are not free to make their own decisions and who live in fear and conflict.
Our Chief Executive, Simon Leyland, states why International Women’s Day is important for Maxwell Hodge:
“At Maxwell Hodge, 90% of our colleagues and 75% of our Directors are women. I feel very privileged and proud to say that as leaders, my fellow Directors and our management team are such fantastic role models for all women in our organisation. We all believe that there should be no barriers to the career aspirations of anyone we employ, whatever their background or gender. Today is an opportunity to appreciate these inspirational women, and to thank all the women that work within our business and make it the success it is, and so I wish everyone at Maxwell Hodge a very happy International Women’s Day!”.
The theme this year is Inspire Inclusion emphasising the importance of developing a better world where women’s inclusion is understood and valued, creating a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment to women in our society. At Maxwell Hodge, we are committed to enhancing equality, diversity, and inclusion in our organisation, ensuring all our people have a meaningful career and are supported, not only professionally but also in their personal lives. This is achieved through opportunities for promotion and progression, our focus on positive mental health and well-being and by providing paid leave to assist colleagues with their caring responsibilities.
