Formby branch of Maxwell Hodge Solicitors have nominated Compassion Acts, the charity which runs Southport Foodbank, as their Charity of the Year for 2023 – and are excited for the year ahead!

Simon Leyland and Sarah Boynton recently attended at the foodbank head office to present a cheque for £500 to kick start the partnership, which was kindly donated by the 4 Directors at Maxwell Hodge.

Simon said “All concerned at Maxwell Hodge are very pleased and honoured to support such a wonderful Charity, that helps so many people in the local area at a time of great need.”

Maxwell Hodge will be planning a variety of fundraising events throughout 2023 to help raise vital funds for the foodbank.

Sadly, due to the cost of living rise, many people are struggling more than ever to feed themselves.  To help the organisation continue their crucial work, staff at the Formby branch will also donate food and toiletry items.

Arianne Clarke, Influencing and Partnerships Manager saidWe are very grateful to Maxwell Hodge for choosing us as one of their charities of the year. We are looking forward to working together over the year, as well as the lasting impact that the partnership will hopefully have. Not only will the fundraising be a big help, but it’s also important that we raise awareness in our local communities of the fact that people are struggling, and also that help is out there for anyone who needs it. So it’s helpful to have local businesses talking about that, too.”
