Gillian Lord
I am the Medical Negligence Team Leader and enjoy providing support and guidance to colleagues, helping to ensure the effective running and ongoing development of the Team alongside the Director responsible.
I qualified as a Solicitor in 2000 and re-joined Maxwell Hodge in 2020, having previously worked here from 2001 until 2014. I have worked exclusively in medical negligence, acting for Claimants, and my expertise covers a wide range of claims including birth injury claims, cases of delayed diagnosis, missed diagnosis of cancer, mistakes during dental treatment and surgical negligence.
At Maxwell Hodge, everyone is very supportive and happy to help, which results in a positive place to work each day. Since I have been working at Maxwell Hodge, I have had opportunities to progress within the Company and develop my career. I would like to think that, as Team Leader, I am helping others to progress, I am a source of advice and support when needed and I am helping to develop a team that shares a common dedication to ensuring cases are progressed and handled efficiently, always acting in our clients’ best interests.
What I enjoy most about my job is helping to achieve the best possible outcome for our clients. I believe that we provide excellent client care and continuous support during the claims process. My job is varied and every day is different, which I find challenging and rewarding.
