I joined Maxwell Hodge in 2024 as a Medical Negligence Paralegal. Prior to this, I worked for another law firm in Merseyside as a first response adviser for road traffic accidents. I was in this role for 5 years and have gained various skills, which are transferrable to my Paralegal role to assist our clients through the medical negligence process. This includes communicating with clients through an empathetic approach to obtain relevant information and progressing the claim to the next steps.

I have a law degree and have also completed the Legal Practice Course. This involved studying different modules, including litigation. The next step will be for me to qualify as a solicitor. However, in the meantime, I am keen to gain more knowledge and experience in medical negligence by working with my colleagues on the new enquiries, which involves speaking to potential clients and taking them through the initial steps and completing paperwork with them, such as funding for the case.

In addition, I work closely with both Gillian Lord and Claire Banks, who are senior solicitors in our Medical Negligence Team.
